Amanda earned an A.B. in History with honors from Princeton. Her undergraduate thesis was awarded the First Place Prize in Latin American History and the Stanley J. Stein Prize in Latin American Studies. After two years working for a major law firm in New York, Amanda attended the University of Chicago as a graduate student. At UChicago, she held a Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship for two consecutive years before graduating with a Master’s degree in History. Amanda now lives in Berlin where she is working on her first piece of historical non-fiction. In addition to guiding college-level students through courses in the humanities, philosophy and social sciences, she has also advised U.S.-based and international students through the college essay process. She is well-versed in global studies and would be happy to support those working on World or European History and/or Literature. Amanda speaks fluent Spanish and is passionate about helping students at all levels to cultivate the individualized, skill-forming habits that will unlock their potential.
