Celeste

Counselor

Celeste brings over a decade of experience in educational advising, guidance counseling, and college and career counseling within the high school setting. Over the years, she has guided hundreds of students through their post–high school journeys with clarity, care, and purpose.

Like all College Choice Counseling counselors, Celeste has expertise with University of Michigan admissions. She also has broad knowledge of college admissions, with deep expertise in admissions to California colleges and universities.

Her approach to college counseling is rooted in the belief that the college search is more than an application process—it’s a pivotal moment for young adults to reflect on who they are, what they value, and where they want to grow academically, personally, and professionally. Celeste works holistically with students to explore career and major options, develop balanced and thoughtful college lists, craft compelling essays, and navigate the application process from start to finish. With a strong foundation in guidance counseling, she also supports students in making strategic course choices, including high school, college, and dual enrollment options, that align with their long-term goals.

A California native, Celeste has lived up and down the California coast, as well as on Long Island, New York, and in San Juan, Puerto Rico, while supporting her family as a Coast Guard spouse. She currently lives among the redwood trees of beautiful Humboldt County, California. She often has her three school aged boys in tow to college visits while on vacation.

Celeste holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of  California, Santa Cruz, and a master’s degree in Education with a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in Guidance Counseling from San José State University. She is an Associate Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and a member of the Western Association for College Admissions Counseling (WACAC).
